About Me
As a programmer I am having the most fun designing and writing gameplay systems, but I am also very interested in AI. In my previous projects I have done my fair share of UI, gameplay and AI. Another thing I find really fun and interesting is graphics programming, although I haven't done much of it, but I would love to learn more about it. On my free time I have played around a lot with physics and ragdolls in Unity which is always fun and always yield interesting results. And of course, as every other programmer, I like things to be optimized and smooth.
History
In high school I attended the science program, and after I graduated I wanted to learn more about game development and programming. That led to me attending the fourth year in technology and graduated as a certified upper secondary school engineer in software design.
During that fourth year I really discovered my passion about programming and learning new things in game development, so I applied as a programmer to PlaygroundSquad. During my two years at PlaygroundSquad my interest in programming continued to grow, and I met all kinds of people with the same passion - games and game development. That really made me feel like I had found where i belong - in the game development industry.
During the second and last year of PlaygroundSquad all students go out for a six-month internship. I applied for an internship at Stunlock Studios. There I got the opportunity to learn from people who have worked in the industry for years and years. It was an amazing experience and an honor to work with such wonderful and talented people. When my internship at Stunlock Studios ended so did my studies at PlaygroundSquad and I graduated.
I worked at Stunlock for a couple more months until I switch and stated working at Guru Games. My first task there was making a localization system together with a co-worker for a project that outsourced to us. After that I helped a small team in the company with some porting between VR-platforms we did for another company. It was around this time Guru games got together with Image and form and Zoink to create Thunderful development. Eventually the Lost in Random team needed some reinforcment so I jumped into that team for about a year to make menus and deck building. When I was done with my work at Lost in Random I jumped into the headhunter team to work on some gameplay, like loot drops, some network syncing and prototyping.
After about two years at Thunderful I decided it was time to try something new, so I started working at Nordicstation, a consulting firm for software development. There I was working in unreal engine 4 for the first time while working on a VR-application for greatlinq.
